Baghdad The Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia’a Al-Sudani, announced the start of work on Al-Shinafiyah refinery expansion project in Al-Diwaniyah Governorate, in the first stop of his inspection visit to the governorate, which he arrived on Saturday morning.

Al-Sudani stressed, during his visit to Diwaniyah Governorate, the government’s determination to develop the oil sector and complete projects that meet the citizens’ need for fuel.

He explained that: “Designs have been put in place for the expansion of the Shinafiyah refinery, which will increase the production capacity of the refinery from 20,000 to 90,000 barrels per day.”
