Al-Sudani Arrives in Ankara Leading an Official Delegation


Ankara: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani arrived in the Turkish capital, Ankara, Thursday morning, leading an official delegation. He was welcomed at Esenboga International Airport by Turkish Trade Minister €š¬‚¬Å“mer Bolat and other officials.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Sudani’s visit comes at the invitation of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The agenda includes a bilateral meeting between Erdogan and Al-Sudani, followed by discussions involving delegations from both countries.



Bolat emphasized the significance of these meetings in enhancing Turkish-Iraqi relations, which have seen growth in political, economic, commercial, and security domains in recent years. He expressed optimism that Turkey and Iraq would continue working closely to achieve a bilateral trade volume of $30 billion. This collaboration aims to increase mutual investments and strengthen ties through projects like the development road and new border crossings.
