Al-Sudani Commemorates Iraq’s Victory Day by Honoring Sacrifices Against ISIS

Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani remarked on the anniversary of Victory Day, emphasizing the inspiration drawn from the heroic stances and values of sacrifice exhibited by Iraqis in their battle against ISIS. According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Sudani shared his reflections on the X website, marking the eighth anniversary of Victory Day. He highlighted the monumental efforts and sacrifices made by Iraqis in defending their nation against the terrorist organization, ISIS. He noted that the country united under the guidance of the Supreme Religious Authority's fatwa, leading to a resounding victory. Al-Sudani paid tribute to the martyrs, both from the security forces and civilian population, acknowledging their sacrifices in achieving this lasting victory. He also expressed disdain for the terrorist elements that threatened the nation, reaffirming a commitment to honor those who fought and fell for Iraq's freedom.
