Al-Sudani Concludes Visit to Grand Faw Port, Returns to Baghdad.

Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani returned to Baghdad after a visit to the Grand Faw Port, during which he sponsored the ceremony of receiving the port's five berths from the implementing company. According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Prime Minister's media office released a statement detailing the activities undertaken during the visit. The statement noted that Al-Sudani inspected the structures of the berth (container yard) at the port, which has reached 100% completion. He also assessed the progress of work on the road linking the Grand Faw and Umm Qasr ports, marking the beginning of the development path. Additionally, the stages of work in the submerged tunnel were reviewed, along with the ongoing infrastructure work, including marine drilling and backfilling. Furthermore, the statement highlighted that a sea tour was conducted to inspect the berths of the Grand Faw Port and to observe the progress of work in the navigation channel.
