Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani has confirmed his intention to run in the upcoming parliamentary elections slated for next November. During his participation in the Ninth Sulaymaniyah Forum, al-Sudani discussed various aspects of Iraq’s current political and security landscape.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Sudani emphasized the critical role of the Popular Mobilization Forces within Iraq’s security system. He asserted that the country is experiencing a phase of security stability and highlighted that the international coalition remains in Iraq in a consultative capacity.

Additionally, al-Sudani underscored the significance of the forthcoming Arab Summit, which is set to take place in Baghdad. He revealed that an invitation had been extended to the Syrian President to attend, marking the event as a pivotal occasion for fostering regional dialogue and cooperation.
