Al-Sudani discusses with the French Prime Minister in Paris the consolidation of relations between the two friendly countries

Baghdad, The Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia’a Al-Sudani, met today, Thursday evening, with the Prime Minister of France, Elizabeth Bourne, at the Prime Ministry’s headquarters, during his one-day official visit to France.

The meeting witnessed the consolidation of bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, through the development of mutual cooperation in the fields of energy, oil and associated gas investment, as well as the promotion of cooperation in the fields of transport and culture and in the field of protection and preservation of antiquities.

The meeting was attended by the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Oil, Industry, Minerals and Culture, in addition to the head of the Integrity Commission and the Mayor of Baghdad.

After the meeting, a ceremony for signing a memorandum of understanding on heritage between Iraq and France took place. The memorandum was signed on the Iraqi side by the Minister of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, while on the French side it was signed by the French Minister of Energy Transition.

A memorandum of intent related to Sinjar Hospital was also signed, as it was signed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs on behalf of Iraq, and on the French side by the French Minister of Energy Transition.
