Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani has underscored the critical importance of preventing the exploitation of state resources during electoral competitions. In a meeting with the head of the Integrity Commission, Mohammed Ali al-Lami, al-Sudani examined the commission's procedures for safeguarding the integrity of the electoral process to ensure that the outcomes genuinely reflect the will of the Iraqi populace.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Sudani directed an intensification of efforts to prevent any political party from leveraging state resources for electoral gains. He emphasized the necessity for heightened cooperation and coordination among the Integrity Commission, the Board of Supreme Audit, and the Electoral Commission to uphold the transparency and integrity of the elections.

The head of the Integrity Commission, Mohammed Ali al-Lami, highlighted a comprehensive study prepared by the commission. He also mentioned the establishment of specialized teams aimed at preventing the misuse of state resources in the electoral race, thereby ensuring equitable competition among all election candidates.
