Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani highlighted the importance of maintaining an accelerating pace to achieve the objectives of the government’s program aimed at developing the oil industry. During his visit to the Middle Oil Company in Baghdad, Al-Sudani was briefed on current mechanisms and plans to sustain and enhance production levels. He also received updates on the company’s efforts at the Akkas natural gas field in Anbar Governorate, which is being developed following a contract with the American company Schlumberger. Additionally, the Prime Minister learned about ongoing work in the Khashm al-Ahmar, Kalabat, and Mansouriya gas fields in Diyala Governorate.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Prime Minister met with the company’s employees and acknowledged their contributions towards improving production quality and increasing output rates. He emphasized the need to continue advancing at a rapid pace to fulfill the government’s objectives of developing the oil industry and optimizing the country’s oil resources.
