Baghdad: The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, has underscored the significance of a stable security environment as a foundation for the Iraqi government's ability to execute its service projects, plans, and development programs across various governorates, with a particular focus on Wasit Governorate. According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Sudani, in his capacity as Prime Minister, chaired a meeting on Thursday with leaders and officials from the security services in Wasit Governorate. Present at the meeting were the Deputy Commander of Joint Operations, the Governor of Wasit, and the Commander of the Governorate Police. The meeting focused on discussing the current security situation and the capabilities of the security formations tasked with maintaining order in the region. The Deputy Commander of Joint Operations provided a briefing on the security status in Wasit Governorate, highlighting the efforts of security formations in fulfilling their responsibilities. The Po lice Commander detailed the implementation of security plans aimed at enhancing stability across the districts and towns within the governorate. Al-Sudani emphasized the need for further development of security operations in Wasit, issuing directives to improve the conditions of security personnel, including their equipment, nutrition, and training. He called for an enhancement of their capabilities and a strengthening of security performance. Al-Sudani also stressed the necessity of rigorous law enforcement and urged improved coordination between security departments to ensure effective intelligence gathering and proactive measures.
