Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani has underscored the critical need to intensify efforts aimed at improving the service and economic conditions in Wasit Governorate.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from the Prime Minister’s media office highlighted that Al-Sudani met with Wasit Governor Mohammed Jamil al-Mayah to discuss the current state of the region. During the meeting, Al-Sudani was briefed on the living conditions, service delivery, and ongoing projects within the governorate’s center, districts, and sub-districts. He emphasized the importance of adhering to project timelines and maintaining quality standards to meet citizens’ expectations.
The statement further noted that the Prime Minister called for exhaustive efforts to execute the government’s program aimed at enhancing the service and economic landscape and upgrading the infrastructure of Wasit. Al-Sudani also stressed the significance of collaborative work between the local government and the provincial council to ensure sustained local development and achieve tangible outcomes.
