Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani expressed his hope that the ceasefire agreement between Iran and the Zionist entity will be strong and cohesive. Al-Sudani made this statement during a cabinet session on Tuesday, emphasizing Iraq’s ongoing support for peace and stability in the region.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Sudani reiterated Iraq’s clear stance in condemning what he termed as Zionist aggression against Iran. He highlighted Iraq’s success in avoiding wars and protecting its citizens from their associated tragedies. The Prime Minister criticized the Zionist entity, accusing it of using failed pretexts to widen the conflict.
Al-Sudani also took the opportunity to commend the government’s supportive political positions and actions, which he believes align with Iraq’s commitment to regional peace.
