Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani offered his condolences to former President Barham Salih on the death of his brother.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from the Prime Minister's Media Office announced that Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani conveyed his sympathies to former President Barham Salih following the death of his brother, Balin Salih. Balin Salih passed away after battling an illness.

Al-Sudani expressed his prayers for Almighty God to provide the family, relatives, and loved ones of the deceased with patience and solace. He also prayed for forgiveness and mercy for Balin Salih. The statement concluded with a reflection on the inevitability of returning to God, stating, "To God we belong and to Him we shall return."
