Baghdad: The government renewed its national and legal commitment to completing the implementation of the government program, in accordance with its priorities and objectives, as it is the path supported by the legislative authority and the work program that meets the needs and aspirations of the people throughout Iraq.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani’s media office released a statement marking three years since the government gained the confidence of the House of Representatives and commenced its constitutional executive duties. The statement highlighted the government’s dedication to its national and legal responsibilities, emphasizing the alignment with legislative support to address the needs of the Iraqi populace.
The statement detailed the government’s commitment to building on successes achieved across various executive measures to enhance the economy, standard of living, and public services. A key focus remains on developing indicators to track progress in reducing poverty and unemployment, and leveraging economic growth to improve social welfare and reinforce civil peace and stability across Iraq. The achievements thus far are attributed to the people’s aspirations for development and reconstruction, combined with consistent and determined efforts to achieve prosperity.
Furthermore, the government is optimistic about fulfilling constitutional requirements in upcoming legislative elections. It expressed confidence in the continued support of the Iraqi people to strengthen the state, uphold the democratic system, and maintain the independent decision-making authority of all Iraqis.
