BAGHDAD: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani recently inaugurated three model schools for orphans, underscoring his administration’s commitment to education as a pivotal concern. During the event, which was broadcast via a television circuit, Al-Sudani highlighted the government’s initiatives aimed at improving educational standards and support for vulnerable groups across Iraq.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Prime Minister expressed that these model schools in Baghdad and Maysan mark a significant step towards enhancing the educational landscape, particularly for orphans. “This is an important step for our interest in education and upbringing,” Al-Sudani stated, emphasizing the broader objective of extending similar support to all orphans in every governorate. He further noted that each of these schools would be staffed with a social researcher to better address the needs of the students.

Al-Sudani also shed light on the financial commitments of his government towards education, mentioning
the inclusion of the previously suspended student grant in the three-year budget. This move is part of a series of efforts aimed at providing comprehensive educational support and ensuring that no child, irrespective of their circumstances, is left behind in the nation’s progress.
