Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani visited the headquarters of the National Retirement Authority where he issued a series of significant directives aimed at resolving pending retirement and compensation issues.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Sudani instructed the release of the fifth batch of retirement salaries for members of the former Iraqi army to be completed before Eid al-Fitr. He further mandated that the sixth batch be finalized immediately afterward, with the intention of closing this matter permanently.

Al-Sudani also addressed the issue of financial differences for wounded security forces, directing their immediate disbursement. Furthermore, he ordered the formation of a committee tasked with counting the remaining number of prisoners of war from 1991 to finalize their retirement procedures.

In a move to address regional concerns, Al-Sudani directed a committee from the Retirement Authority and the Martyrs Foundation to travel to Anbar. Their mission is to resolve the retirement files of victims of terrorism in Anbar Governorate. This includes an audit and the disbursement of dues for retirees who have successfully passed the audit process, thereby aligning Anbar with the other governorates.
