Abu dhabi: Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani met on Wednesday in Abu Dhabi with the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to discuss bilateral relations and their development, as well as regional developments.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting focused on enhancing joint cooperation, particularly in trade, energy, and transport sectors, including support for the Strategic Development Road within the framework of the quadripartite agreement and its annexes. The discussions also covered ways to support regional stability and prevent the escalation of conflicts.
The Iraqi Prime Minister affirmed Iraq’s commitment to strengthening ties with the UAE, in line with the government’s strategy to expand partnerships with brotherly and friendly countries. For his part, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed praised Iraq’s efforts in development and reconstruction plans, as well as its role in maintaining stability and promoting regional and international security.
