Al-Sudani Offers Condolences to Cultural and Literary Circles on the Death of Poet Muwaffaq Muhammad


Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani offered his condolences to cultural and literary circles on the passing of poet Muwaffaq Muhammad. In his message, Al-Sudani highlighted the poet’s significant contributions to literature and his ability to resonate with the public through both classical Arabic and popular dialect poetry.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Sudani expressed that the deceased was an effective embodiment of a poet who touched upon people’s concerns and aspirations, as well as national issues. He acknowledged Muwaffaq Muhammad’s unique role in conveying the sentiments of the community and addressing important societal themes through his work.



Al-Sudani concluded his message by praying for God’s mercy on the deceased and offered words of comfort to the poet’s family and loved ones, wishing them patience and solace during this difficult time. He invoked the phrase, “To God we belong and to Him we shall return,” reflecting the cultural and religious sentiments associated with mourning in the region.
