Ankara: An official Iraqi delegation arrived in the Turkish capital, Ankara, on Monday, led by Mohammed Redha Al Husseini, head of the Department of Neighboring Countries at the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This visit marks a significant step in the preparations for Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al Sudani’s upcoming visit to Ankara later this week.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the delegation comprises representatives from several key Iraqi ministries and institutions. Their mission is to finalize technical discussions on the memoranda of understanding set to be signed with their Turkish counterparts. These agreements will span crucial sectors such as security, transportation, planning, education, communications, and industry.

The Iraqi Embassy in Ankara highlighted the importance of these discussions, which are expected to pave the way for enhanced bilateral cooperation between Iraq and Turkey. The visit underscores the strategic nature of the relationship between the neighboring countries and aims to bolster ties across multiple fields of mutual interest.
