Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani has confirmed the ongoing efforts in construction, reconstruction, and development projects throughout Iraq. During a meeting with several sheikhs and dignitaries from Anbar Governorate, hosted by Sheikh Hamid Turki Al-Shuka, Chairman of the Anbar Tribal Council of Sheikhs and Head of Albu Dhiab Tribe, Al-Sudani emphasized the tailored plans for each governorate based on their unique service and economic conditions.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Sudani highlighted the potential and opportunities within Anbar, noting the substantial support provided by the government to local authorities to both complete stalled projects and initiate new ones. He underscored the priority of gas investment in Anbar, particularly the Akkaz field project, which is expected to supply fuel to the 1,600-megawatt Anbar gas plant.

Politically, Al-Sudani reiterated Iraq’s stance on national interests, mutual respect, and non-interference in internal affairs. He noted Iraq’s leadership role in the region, citing the country’s presidency of the Arab Summit and the Development Summit. With a vision for addressing major challenges, Al-Sudani noted that solutions and structural reforms have been devised for each issue.

Additionally, Al-Sudani mentioned the Strategic Development Road Project, emphasizing collaboration with allies based on shared interests. He also addressed the water scarcity crisis, highlighting the government’s strategies and plans to tackle this issue.

During the meeting, Al-Sudani extended Eid al-Adha greetings, expressing hopes for security and stability in Iraq and relief for the people of Palestine and Lebanon amid ongoing conflicts. He acknowledged the solidarity among Iraqis from all governorates and the tribes’ role in overcoming challenges, particularly terrorism. Al-Sudani credited Iraq’s security and stability to the sacrifices of martyrs and wounded heroes, reinforcing the commitment to further development across the nation.
