Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shiaa Al-Sudani has reiterated the government's focus on enhancing services and developing infrastructure in the Nineveh Plain and Shabak villages. He emphasized the importance of maintaining development efforts in light of the region's current stability.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Sudani expressed these commitments during a meeting with a delegation from the Shabak community in Nineveh Province. He commended their sacrifices and national contributions since 2003, particularly in collaboration with other communities in the Nineveh Plain to support the state, build the new Iraq, and uphold the constitution and law.

Al-Sudani addressed the historical marginalization and exclusion faced by the area under the previous regime and the devastation caused by ISIS. He assured that the government is dedicated to delivering services through engineering and service initiatives, aiming for developmental progress across multiple sectors. He also noted the achievements made during his government's two and a half years in office.

The Shabak delegation expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister and provided a comprehensive account of the conditions in the Nineveh Plain and the 65 Shabak villages impacted by ISIS violations. They acknowledged the region's security stability over the past two years, which has revitalized daily life and spurred growth in the labor market, construction, and reconstruction.
