Riyadh: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani renewed Iraq’s firm and principled position in supporting efforts aimed at preventing the expansion of the conflict in the region.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Prime Minister’s media office released a statement detailing Al-Sudani’s meeting with the Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the joint Arab and Islamic summit in Riyadh, which was organized to address the ongoing Zionist aggression on Gaza and Lebanon.

The statement highlighted discussions on the bilateral relations between Iraq and Saudi Arabia, noting recent developments in various sectors. The leaders also reviewed the humanitarian crisis in the occupied territories and southern Lebanon. Both parties emphasized the urgency of coordinating positions and mobilizing efforts to halt the conflict and extend humanitarian aid to the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples.
