Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani has received an official invitation to visit Serbia, as conveyed by the Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Iraq, Branislav €š¬…¡¬‚¬¦¡¬¦½ejelj. The ambassador presented a letter from the new Prime Minister of Serbia, inviting al-Sudani to Belgrade.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting between al-Sudani and Ambassador €š¬…¡¬‚¬¦¡¬¦½ejelj involved discussions on enhancing bilateral relations across various sectors. The focus was on developing economic, trade, and investment ties to benefit both nations and strengthen the close relationship between Iraq and Serbia.

The official statement highlighted the importance of supporting regional and international efforts to maintain ceasefires and promote negotiations to avoid the adverse effects of conflict in the region. There was also an emphasis on stopping the aggression in the Gaza Strip and ensuring humanitarian aid reaches the Palestinian people.

Additionally, the Serbian Ambassador conveyed greetings from the Serbian Presidents and expressed Serbia’s intention to boost cooperation with Iraq, particularly in infrastructure projects.
