Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' al-Sudani has stressed the importance of support from Iraqi sports club fans and associations for Zakho FC fans, with the goal of elevating Iraq's name on the global stage. According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Sudani made this call in light of FIFA's nomination of Duhok FC fans for the Best Fans Award 2025. The nomination was in recognition of their support for sick children, particularly those battling cancer. Al-Sudani emphasized the crucial role of Iraqi sports communities in providing similar backing to Zakho FC fans, ensuring that Iraq's reputation is uplifted in all arenas.
