Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani emphasized the urgency for the United States to enhance its efforts in ceasing the ongoing war in Lebanon and Gaza during a phone conversation with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Prime Minister’s Office released a statement highlighting the discussion between Al-Sudani and Blinken. The conversation focused on the threats posed by the ongoing Zionist aggression in Gaza and Lebanon, stressing its detrimental effects on regional and global security and stability. Al-Sudani underlined the necessity for the United States, alongside other major nations, to increase their efforts to put an end to the conflict.
