New York:Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi met with Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Kamal Madbouly to discuss strengthening the relationship between Iraq and Egypt in various fields during a meeting in New York.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting took place on the sidelines of al-Zaidi’s participation in the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly. Discussions focused on issues of mutual interest and enhancing bilateral relations.

Al-Zaidi highlighted the depth of the ties between the two nations and expressed interest in leveraging Egypt’s experience in developmental, security, and infrastructure areas.

Egyptian Prime Minister Madbouly congratulated al-Zaidi on assuming office and extended an invitation to visit Egypt for the fourth session of the Iraqi-Egyptian Joint Committee. He also praised the reforms implemented by the Iraqi government across various sectors.
