Baghdad: National Security Advisor Qasim al-Aboudi has declared that Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi’s government is prioritizing the enhancement of the Iraqi army’s capabilities across all its branches.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the National Security Advisory released a statement following a meeting between al-Aboudi and the Security Advisor to the Ministry of Defense, Lieutenant General Muhannad Jawad Watout, along with a delegation of military commanders from the Ministry of Defense. The discussions centered on advancing the armament of the Iraqi armed forces to align with global technological developments.
The statement highlighted that the meeting also delved into the integration of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, underscoring the significance of utilizing modern technologies in these areas. Al-Aboudi reiterated the government’s commitment to modernizing the army’s capabilities in line with the latest global technologies and commended the dedication and bravery of the Iraqi armed forces across all branches.
