Al-Zaidi Meets US President’s Special Envoy to Discuss Iraq-US Relations

Baghdad: Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi received US President's Special Envoy to Iraq, Tom Barrack, at his residence in Washington, D.C., on Monday evening, Baghdad time.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement issued by the Prime Minister's media office detailed that the meeting focused on the prospects for joint cooperation between Iraq and the United States. Both parties explored avenues to bolster economic relations and discussed recent developments and potential strategies to expand their cooperation and partnership.

Additionally, the dialogue addressed regional developments, emphasizing the significance of supporting efforts to enhance security and stability while reducing tensions. The discussions also highlighted Iraq's pivotal role in bridging differences and contributing to calming situations at the regional level.
