Diwaniyah: A new director has been appointed for the Diwaniyah municipality. Diwaniyah Governor Abbas al-Zamili announced the appointment of Deputy Director of the Municipality Ali al-Sharifi to manage the department’s affairs. This decision comes following the arrest of the previous director for administrative and financial violations.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Zamili stated through the governorate’s media outlet that staff in all departments of the directorate have been instructed to expedite the processing and resolution of transactions. The focus is on simplifying administrative procedures and committing to providing the best possible services, thereby contributing to meeting citizens’ needs and improving the level of institutional performance.

It should be noted that several arrests have been issued against department heads, assistants, and employees for administrative and financial violations.
