Alia Nassif: Banking Disasters Are Part Of Corruption Series That Started In The Currency Auction

Baghdad The MP Alia Nassif confirmed that the series of the (banking disasters), the details of which are currently being revealed, the latest of which is that the Central Bank granted (the boys) banks more than 321 billion dinars, is part of the corruption series that began in the currency auction, which I warned against several years ago.

She said in a press statement: If the supervisory and executive authorities had taken the necessary measures against corrupt currency speculators, such as (the boys) who were protected from (priests), they would have saved the Iraqi economy and provided the state treasury with millions of dollars looted by them.

She added: The Central Bank had earlier issued payment orders that included paying more than 321 billion and 750 million dinars to the three banks owned by (the boys) controlling the Central Bank’s currency auction, and the amount is one third of the amount for the Central Bank’s initiative, which was announced a year ago by allocating a trillion dinars to finance the small projects of all 72 Iraqi banks, and those funds were allocated under the pretext of rehabilitating one of the factories owned by the boys or to finance fake projects.

She continued: Today, we have the right to ask: Why do the regulatory authorities not respond to the information we disclose, which later becomes clear to the public opinion that it is one hundred percent correct? The trouble is that the information that we disclose, even after a long period of time has passed and it becomes clear to everyone that it is true; no action is taken regarding it? When will the authorities take seriously the information we publish?! .

Nassif said: Any country in the world when information is published by an MP or a journalist about financial or administrative corruption, the information is taken seriously, but unfortunately we live in a state of silence and appeasement and the corrupt is not held accountable, knowing that until now one bank is still controlling the rest of the three banks in the remote control.
