Baghdad / NINA /- The leader of the National Coalition, Iyad Allawi, met in Erbil with the leader of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Massoud Barzani.

A statement by Allawi’s media office stated, “The meeting discussed a number of issues related to local affairs and discussing developments in the situation, especially on the political side, where it was agreed on the importance of coordinating and unifying positions and finding solutions to outstanding issues between Baghdad and Erbil through dialogues and understanding.”

The statement added, “It was agreed to support Prime Minister Muhammad Shia’a al-Sudani and his government in implementing its ministerial program in a way that achieves the aspirations of the honorable Iraqi people.”/ End
