Diyala: Diyala Governor Adnan al-Shammari announced the allocation of 9 billion dinars to pay farmers for their wheat harvest from the 2025 agricultural season. According to National Iraqi News Agency, the governor stated that the allocated amount will be distributed with 4 billion dinars going to the Bani Saad silo and 5 billion dinars to the Baquba silo. This allocation is part of the government’s efforts to ensure farmers receive their dues and support the agricultural sector in the province.

Governor al-Shammari emphasized that this step confirms the commitment of both the federal and local governments to supporting farmers. It also recognizes their efforts in supplying markets with local produce and boosting agricultural production in the province.
