Baghdad: The United States of America confirmed that Ambassador Stephen Fagin is the Charg© d’Affaires at its Embassy in Baghdad.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Embassy stated in a press release on its official website that Ambassador Fagin has extensive knowledge of Iraq. He has previously served in Iraq twice, initially as Consul General at the US Consulate in Erbil from 2018 to 2020, and subsequently as Deputy Chief of Mission at the US Embassy in Baghdad from 2020 to 2021.
