Amman: The Jordanian government has expressed deep concern over the deliberate obstruction facing its humanitarian convoys heading overland to the Gaza Strip, highlighting repeated attacks by Israeli settlers amid apparent inaction from Israeli authorities.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, in a press statement, Minister of Government Communication and official spokesperson, Mohammad Al-Momani, said that Jordanian aid convoys “have been subjected to repeated assaults by settlers while en route to Gaza.” He noted that “the latest incident occurred last night, when settlers forcibly blocked the trucks, forcing several of them to turn back.”

Al-Momani emphasized that “this is not the first time such violations have occurred; they have become recurrent without any meaningful deterrent from the Israeli authorities.” He called for urgent and serious intervention to ensure that humanitarian assistance reaches those in need in the besieged Gaza Strip.
