Baghdad: Baghdad Operations Command forces arrested an accused of antiquities trafficker, west of the capital. The Command stated in a statement: “The arrest of the accused was made possible through distinguished intelligence efforts and regional search and inspection practices. 18 antiquities were seized inside his home in Al-Ghazaliya area, west of the capital.”

According to National Iraqi News Agency, it added: “The accused and the seized items were handed over to the relevant authorities to complete legal proceedings against him.”
