An American Company Agrees With The MoH To Establish 22 Centers For Premature Babies And A Study To Establish Centers For Cancer Treatment

GE HealthCare Company agreed with the Ministry of Health to establish 22 centers for premature babies, and to conduct joint studies and discussions to establish new specialized projects for the treatment of cancer.

Ihab Zawaideh, General Director for the Middle East at GE HealthCare Company, formerly (General Electric Health Sector), said in an exclusive interview with the Iraqi National News Agency (NINA): “The company indicated the need to treat cancer and early detection, due to the lack of Production of radioactive materials involved in this field, and therefore we are in continuous discussions with the Ministry of Health to establish diagnostic centers for cancer treatment and early detection.

He added, “The company concluded an agreement with the Ministry of Health to establish 22 centers for premature babies, inside hospitals, each center includes modern medical devices for children, and it also agreed to train medical personnel to operate the centers and their devices, with technical advice,” pointing out: “The project will start soon, and the implementation period is one year, and all centers will be ready to operate in hospitals.
