Baghdad: Anbar Governor, Engineer Omar Mishaan Dabbous, met with the Chief of Staff of the Army, Lieutenant General Abdul Amir Rashid Yarallah, to deliberate on the security situation in Anbar province, focusing on the Anbar and Jazeera operational sectors and enhancing joint coordination between local government and military leadership.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting included discussions on the logistical requirements of military units to improve their operational readiness. The talks covered strategies to secure the Rawah-Hadar road and the overland Hajj route, both significant for their strategic and security roles. Additionally, there was a review of procedures to minimize checkpoints on the road from Hit through Haditha to Al-Qaim, aimed at facilitating traffic flow while ensuring security and stability in the region.
The governor highlighted the paramount importance of stability in Anbar for the local government, underlining the necessity of supporting military units with essential resources. He stressed the need for collaborative efforts to bolster security, thereby creating a conducive environment for service and investment projects across the province.
