Ansar Allah Conducts Military Operation in Red Sea, Seizes Israeli Ship

BAGHDAD – Yemen's Ansar Allah group, also known as the Houthi movement, confirmed on Sunday evening that it carried out a military operation in the Red Sea, capturing an Israeli ship.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, the Spokesman for the Ansar Allah armed forces, stated that the operation resulted in the seizure of an Israeli ship, which was then taken to the Yemeni coast. He reiterated the group's stance that all ships affiliated with Israel are considered legitimate targets, emphasizing their continued military actions against Israel until the aggression against the Gaza Strip ceases. Saree warned that all vessels associated with or supporting Israel would be targeted by the Yemeni armed forces, reinforcing that Ansar Allah's actions are specifically directed at Israeli ships. He accused the Zionist entity of posing a threat to regional security and called for international intervention to stop its aggression. This incident follows a statement by the Israeli Prime Minister earlier in the day, condemning the hijacking of a ship owned by an Israeli businessman.
