Sana’a: The Yemeni Ansar Allah movement, also known as the Houthis, has pledged an imminent and forceful retaliation following Israeli airstrikes on territories under its control.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the group’s Political Council issued a statement asserting Yemen’s steadfast position in the region and its ongoing support for Gaza. The statement highlighted the group’s heightened military readiness and warned of a significant and deterrent response to Israeli actions.
The Council emphasized that the Yemeni populace had successfully countered efforts aimed at preventing their support for Gaza. This development follows a series of Israeli airstrikes, including five on Sana’a Airport, which rendered the facility inoperable. Additional strikes targeted the Dhahban and Haziz power plants with eight raids and a power station in the Asr area with three raids.
These attacks resulted in extensive fires, leading to the Ministry of Health in Sana’a reporting three fatalities and 35 injuries.
