Baghdad: Anti-crime squads in Baghdad have successfully apprehended four individuals suspected of theft and forgery, according to the city's Crime Control Directorate. The arrests were made in separate incidents involving significant amounts of money and fraudulent real estate documents. According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Baghdad Crime Control Directorate stated that a suspect was detained in connection with the theft of 15 million dinars and gold from a residence in the Dora area, located in the southern part of Baghdad. The arrest followed an investigation by the Dora Crime Control Office after they received information about the theft. The suspect was taken into custody under Article 446 of the Penal Code. Additionally, the Crime Control Directorate reported that detachments from the Al-Khadhraa Office apprehended three individuals accused of forging real estate documents valued at 54 million dinars. The forged documents were presented to an investigating judge, who sanctioned their arrest unde r Article 290 of the Penal Code. The investigations are ongoing to ensure the suspects face legal proceedings.
