Cairo: The Secretary-General of the Arab League, Mr. Nabil Fahmy, engaged in a telephone conversation with Iraqi Foreign Minister, Mr. Fuad Hussein, focusing on the tense regional situation and exploring strategies to promote security and stability within the region.

According to Union of OIC News Agencies, a statement from the Arab League highlighted that both leaders emphasized the necessity of addressing current events through diplomatic channels. They underscored the importance of strengthening Arab-Arab relations as a means to protect the region and maintain the nation-state as a central element of stability and security.

The conversation also involved an agreement to maintain ongoing cooperation and communication, utilizing every available channel to uphold Arab rights. Additionally, both parties committed to revitalizing and enhancing the operational mechanisms of the League of Arab States, aiming to serve the interests of the Arab world amidst challenges of domination and subjugation.
