Arab League Condemns Starvation Tactics as Genocide Against Palestinians

Cairo: The Arab League has strongly condemned what it describes as "the Israeli occupation's use of starvation as a weapon of war," labeling it as "a form of genocide against the Palestinian people."

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Arab League issued a statement after concluding an emergency council meeting. The statement emphasized the urgent need for international intervention to stop the ongoing aggression and address the humanitarian crisis and famine affecting the Gaza Strip.

The Arab League's statement called on the global community to implement international accountability mechanisms to address Israeli actions and urged immediate pressure on Israel to open crossings to allow aid into the Gaza Strip. The statement highlighted that "the occupation's policies and practices to displace the Palestinian people constitute genocide under the Rome Statute."
