Cairo: The Arab League will convene an emergency meeting of its Council of Permanent Delegates tomorrow at its headquarters in Cairo to address the ongoing allegations of genocide, brutality, and forced displacement against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip by Israeli forces. According to National Iraqi News Agency, the extraordinary session was prompted by a pressing request from Palestine to the General Secretariat of the Arab League, focusing on the continuation of alleged genocide activities in Gaza, particularly the northern areas and Jabalia camp. The session aims to formulate a coordinated Arab and international response to halt these actions. The meeting comes amid reports from Gaza's Ministry of Health that the northern Gaza Strip has endured a severe siege and heavy bombardment for the seventeenth consecutive day, leading to the death of 640 Palestinians. The region, particularly the Jabalia camp, has been isolated, suffering both aerial and artillery attacks. This isolation has effectively split the northern governorate from the rest of Gaza, exacerbating the humanitarian crisis.
