Cairo: The General Secretariat of the League of Arab States affirmed on Wednesday that the continued violations in Palestine exacerbate the humanitarian crisis and undermine international law.

According to Iraqi News Agency, in a statement issued on the first anniversary of the Israeli bombing of Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, which resulted in the deaths of five Palestinian journalists, the Secretariat expressed deep concern over ongoing Israeli violations in the occupied Palestinian territories. The statement emphasized the continuous targeting of civilians, journalists, and humanitarian institutions, highlighting the breach of protection rules guaranteed by international law.

The Secretariat noted that the continuation of these violations a year after the tragic incident reflects persistent policies and practices that endanger civilians and media workers. It underscored the necessity of protecting journalists and ensuring accountability for violations committed against them.

Furthermore, the Secretariat pointed out that this approach also affects international and humanitarian organizations operating in the occupied Palestinian territories. It condemned Israeli measures aimed at evacuating and demolishing facilities belonging to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in Kafr Aqab, north of occupied Jerusalem.
