Cairo: The General Secretariat of the League of Arab States convened a coordination meeting on Wednesday at the level of permanent representatives from member states to discuss preparations for the inaugural Arab-Russian Summit, slated for October 15 in Moscow.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting focused on reviewing the summit's arrangements, which include the draft final communiqu© and the action plan that will be adopted. Ambassador Khaled Manzlawy, Assistant Secretary-General for International Political Affairs, highlighted the significance of the summit as a pivotal moment in Arab-Russian relations, aiming to foster cooperation rooted in mutual respect and shared interests. He emphasized that the outcomes are anticipated to align with the aspirations of the peoples from both regions.
The permanent representatives acknowledged and commended the efforts of Iraq and the General Secretariat in facilitating the success of the first Arab-Russian Summit. They expressed optimism for enhanced Arab-Russian cooperation across multiple sectors.
