Baghdad: A member of the Arab Parliament has disclosed the outcomes of recent meetings in Baghdad and outlined a set of recommendations for the forthcoming Arab Summit scheduled to occur next month in Iraq.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Palestinian Parliament member Mai Salem Hanna Kelly highlighted that the Arab Parliament deliberated on the report from the Palestine Committee, which consists of representatives from Arab nations' parliaments. The discussions underscored the centrality of the Palestinian issue, particularly in light of the current circumstances and the ongoing suffering of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, the northern West Bank, and the city of al-Quds.

Kelly elaborated that the members reached a consensus on a series of recommendations to be presented at the upcoming summit in Baghdad. These recommendations include reassessing relations with Israel, including those based on official treaties, normalization efforts, or agreements intended for normalization. She emphasized that the demands of the Arab populace are growing louder, asserting that neutrality on the Palestinian issue equates to complicity in Israeli actions.

The Arab Parliament member further criticized Israel's attempts to displace Palestinians, affirming that such actions are unacceptable. She stressed the non-negotiable nature of the right of return for Palestinians, characterizing it as an inalienable right that remains a national goal, impervious to the passage of time.
