Baghdad: The Arab Parliamentary Union affirmed, yesterday, its solidarity and support for Lebanon in its adherence to all its national rights and sovereignty over all its territories and its right to adopt all means to impose the Zionist withdrawal from all its territories. The Union stressed in a statement the “necessity of the complete withdrawal of the Zionist army from the occupied Lebanese territories in compliance with international charters and legitimacy and United Nations resolutions, most notably Resolution 1701,” noting the importance of international action to force the Zionist entity to withdraw completely. He called for confronting the Zionist methods and violations with firm international measures.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the statement from the Arab Parliamentary Union highlighted the need for robust international intervention to ensure the Zionist withdrawal from Lebanese territories. The emphasis was placed on the implementation of United Nations Resolution 1701, which calls for the cessation of hostilities and the withdrawal of the Zionist forces.

The Arab Parliamentary Union reiterated its unwavering support for Lebanon’s sovereignty and urged the international community to take decisive steps against the Zionist violations. The Union called for international measures that would hold the Zionist entity accountable and compel it to abide by international laws and resolutions.

The Union’s statement also underscored the importance of solidarity among Arab nations in supporting Lebanon’s territorial integrity and sovereignty. The call to action was aimed at galvanizing international efforts to address ongoing violations and ensure a peaceful resolution in accordance with established international frameworks.
