Tehran: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi has placed responsibility on Washington for the ongoing insecurity in the Strait of Hormuz.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Iranian Foreign Ministry released a statement in which Araqchi, during discussions with the Chinese Foreign Minister, asserted that the instability in the Strait of Hormuz stemmed from the United States’ breach of its commitments and agreement terms intended to conclude the conflict. The statement further highlighted Araqchi’s denunciation of American assaults on Iranian infrastructure.

The ministry also noted Araqchi’s dialogue with his Russian counterpart, during which he reiterated Iran’s resolve to counteract any attempts by the United States to exploit the strategic Strait of Hormuz.
