Muscat: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi announced that a new round of indirect negotiations between Iran and the United States will take place tomorrow, Sunday, in the Sultanate of Oman. The talks, previously postponed, are set to be hosted in Oman, with both parties preparing to engage in discussions aimed at addressing ongoing issues.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the resumption of these negotiations was confirmed by Araghchi during a statement to the Shahr-e-Ara News website. The Omani side had inquired about a suitable date for the talks, and after Tehran’s approval, Oman communicated this to the United States, facilitating the scheduling of the meeting. Araghchi noted that while the negotiations are moving forward, achieving significant progress will require more time and technical consultations to thoroughly examine the issues at hand.

Tasnim News Agency had earlier reported, citing a member of the Iranian negotiating team, that an agreement was reached to hold the fourth round of talks in Oman. The discussions were initially set for Saturday, May 3, but were postponed due to logistical and technical challenges, as announced by both Iran and the United States.
