Baghdad: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has condemned what he describes as “Zionist aggression” against Iran, stating that it represents a fatal blow to diplomacy, the rule of law, and the nuclear non-proliferation regime. Araghchi made these remarks during his participation in the 17th BRICS summit held in Brazil.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Araghchi emphasized the importance of the international community taking a stand against what he referred to as Israeli crimes. He reiterated that Iran’s nuclear program remains peaceful and is conducted under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency.
Araghchi further asserted that the actions of the “Zionist entity” against Iran constitute a blatant violation of Articles 2 and 4 of the United Nations Charter. He called for a unified international response to address and prevent further violations.
