Tehran: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has refuted claims that Iran is withdrawing from its nuclear obligations, calling such reports “baseless and mere rumors.” In a press statement, Araghchi emphasized Iran’s ongoing commitment to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) and the agreements established under the safeguards system.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Araghchi stated that Iran’s cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) would now adhere to a newly approved law by the Islamic Consultative Assembly. This law mandates that all interactions with the IAEA will be managed exclusively through the Supreme National Security Council.
